Hello everybody! At the moment we are using two PCS 7 v8.1 SP1 multiprojects on real hardware and we are tasked with moving to a virtual environment. Administrators purchased and configured several servers running VMWare ESXi 6.7. To test the possibility of migration, I created a test multiproject with the structure in this screenshot - [snip]. Servers 011 and 012 are the Master-Standby pair of the first multiproject, 511 and 512 are the pair for the second multiproject. Terminal bus (HMI_Span _Net) is completely virtual. It merges terminal buses of all internal projects. The plant bus (PLC_Span_Net) consists of a physical segment where the AS410 station is connected and a virtual segment for servers and an engineering station. Gateways are registered on all network interfaces looking in Plant bus. ISO is disabled everywhere. This bus also merges all plant buses of internal projects. Since all network adapters inside the virtual environment are of the IE General type, we had to use IE General version SW 8.2 to add two such adapters to the configuration. The engineering station and all four servers were configured and downloaded. All of them have the PG / PC interface set to "PC.internal.local". The connection between the ES and the controller works, I can load the hardware configuration, charts, and monitor them. Currently, there are the following problems: 1. Engineering station remains with a yellow arrow even after the "Configure ..." and "Download" procedures. Screenshot - [snip] 2. Very often, after loading PC Station, one of the network adapters in Station Manager goes to STOP. Sometimes restarting Windows helps, sometimes you have to delete an entry in Station Manager and add it again. This can be seen in the "Station Manager ES" screenshot. 3. After configuration and download from NetPro - the connections do not appear for the "WinCC Appl." Entry, but for the network adapter. This can be seen in the "Station Manager SRV" screenshot [snip]. Why this is so - I do not understand. 4. Since our Plant Bus consists of two different segments with a router in between - I cannot use ISO Industrial Ethernet for AS-OS connections. Therefore ISO is disabled everywhere, as I mentioned. But, when choosing such connection types as "TCP connection" or "ISO-over-TCP", I still see the use of the MAC address in the Server Compilation Wizard. Obviously, the project uploaded to the server has no connection with the controller. 5. When I select the "S7 connection" type, the connection is also missing. I am ready to provide any additional information and screenshots. I ask for your help and advice.

Hello RoVRy, PCS 7 v8.1 SP1 is not compatible with Simatic NET PC Software V 15, Only WinCC V7.5 is actually compatible with Simatic NET PC Software V 15. see compatibility tool https://support.industry.siemens.com/kompatool/pages/main/index.jsf?sitc=wwdfi10002 Regards Georg Berghof |
