Hi!

I have a problem with Starter v5.3 install. When I try to install the program into an infinite cycle at the final step. I have attached a photo about it. (endless.jpg)

If I restart my computer and start the program Starter i have an error message "Error occured while reading in the file: C:\..\Step7\U7umc\data\wrkbnch\metadata\wbsnapin.xml"

I cant use program Starter  at all.

My computer an Siemens PG M4 with Windows 7 64 bit

I tryed with Starter v5.1 with same result.

What program might be missing from my computer, or what will be solution?

this step can have duration of horus (8,5 hours was the longest i see)

have you antivirus SW installed an deactivated?

No antivirus software installed.

I saw the progress bar 10 times to restart  at least, and after I restarted the computer.

Maybe I should wait longer?

You have to wait long time (our M4 PG about 3 hour)

I have SSD hard drive i wait about 15 minute 

with HHD hard drive I think you have to wait 10x more

I have had this problem today 03-03-2021, and the solution to this endless loop for me was to cancel the setup, just after starting it. Then executing the setup.exe again, this time it will not about the install and show the warning prompting you to reboot.

I use win10 on a virtual machine, using Parallels on a Mac.
