Hello Robinson; SCL is a very powerful programming tool, but it is closer to a high-level programming language (like C/C++ or Pascal) than ladder, and you must familiarize yourself with internal functions (such as IF/Then/else, For/Do, Case of...) and also the working environment before you are at ease with it. Here is an example of motor control through SCL, from Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mqgbrosgOg Do not worry if at first glance it looks more complicated than what you are used to dealing with in a PLC. Look at the following description of SCL programming for TIA Portal to get acquainted with SCL: https://www.pccweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/S17-SCL.pdf Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Thank you very much for the explanation, it is a huge step up from Ladder but we need to constantly learn. Very much appreciated.
