Standard pass, I would check to make sure your batteries still have energy in them (especially if your power supplies are off continually, they will drain the batteries quickly), also verify that your Power Supply switch is set to the 1 or 2 battery position and not 'Off'. Like the other useres mentioned, wait 20 min for your CPU to come back from a full reset before trying to connect to it (for download, or diagnostic..etc) as it still booting and doing diagnostic checks and setups on itself. It sounds like you have been hunting this for a bit, I would recommend contacting your regional Siemens PCS 7 Technical Support hotline team which you can do so here, https://support.industry.siemens.com/my/ww/en/requests#createRequest Attach your PCS 7 version, CPU firmware version, and the problems you stated here. I believe they can provide you a tool that will capture information about your CPU in its failure state that go beyond the diagnostics (of which they will only be able to 'de-code'). Either they can give you a solution, or help setup an RMA of sorts. Wish I could be more help... |
The best location for all PCS 7 content (manuals, guides, application notes, FAQs, and videos). |

Hello, There is also another topic about the CPU410 power on/off problem. Is this the same CPU? I asked in that topic if the batteries were shortcircuit before use. This must be done, to trigger the batteries and thus save your configuration data on the CPU. If this is not done, the CPU will reboot and trigger it's initialization phase (self check), which will take 15 minutes (already mentioned I believe). |
