buttsy Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	I have bought and programmed a LOGO OBA8 with the correct AM2 RTD for Pt100/1000 with a 2 wire sensor i can not seem to get the correct values for the temperature, do i need to add something in my program that corrects the differential and offset if you like. so grab the detail and then pass it through a number of corrective steps to give me an output, i have tried messing around with the offset but this is not clear to me as yet as being the answer i can move it one way and it seems to not be very linear, i am sure i am doing soemthing wrong its just what. Thanks

Better would be a 3 wire PT. Error limit at 3 wire PT: +/- 2 ° C (-50 ° C to 200 ° C). In the 2 wire PT no error limit is specified.

The modules with the manufacturenumber 0BA2 at the end are olnly for the 0BA8 series of LOGO! You can check the PT100 or PT1000 with an Ohmmeter, the value must be ca 100 (1000) Ohm + 0,5 (5) per degree Celcius bove the Zero. Have you uced the right AI input. If your Basic LOGO support AI, the the firts AI of the expansion unit is Ai3, or sometimes Ai5. If your basic LOGO not support Ai then the first Ai on the expansionunit is Ai1. Can you post your program so we can check it? What is the input of the LOGO! Press a several times on the cursorkey Right or Left (start with the standard date and time in the display) until you get the Ai inputs, there you can check te real valuwe of the input of Ai on the LOGO! There you can also see the right Ai for your input.

buttsy Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	The unit does function when holding the temperature i can see the temperature moving and when i let go it cools down so the program functions its more that the error is massive, when running the unit through a dry well (a temperature calibratora) i get a huge deviationat 85 degrees c i am reading 40 degrees c i wondered if i have to do anything with the off set i i move the offset i can vary the result. i tried to clip the program to this mail but it wont let me it want an image rather than the code PB

buttsy Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	i am under 4 m but as you mention it is 2 wire.. i would have expected error in the results but the error is massive. Siemens dont suggest a Pt100 to use and there are a lot out there i can only assume i have the wrong one.

A PT100 is a PT100, there is no wrong PT100 except a defect one, are you shure it's a PT100? Regards, Marcjan

buttsy Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	this is what i have. when set to Pt100 the gain and offset are pre programmed... i have made it work however... i changed the control to no device, here i can change the parameters for the pt100, i slightly modified the gain value and this brought my error under control. i have tried the pt100 in a drywell and proved the operation of the sensor and it is now functioning within 0.5 of a degree i ran it at 25 degrees 50 degrees 75 degrees and 100 degrees thanks for your help
