I created another column to my file and now i have error 8097 (File length exceeds the file system limit) in DataLogCreat block,but I'm using only 25% of my load memory. Before creating the column "Nivel" was working.Is there a limit of columns to the file? Attachment prints Thanks Hi, I suggest you testto"reset to the factory settings" the S7-1200 and re compile / re load your application. Tell us what happens.

My suggestion: make a counter that counts ciclically 1,2,3,4...n,1,2,3,4... make n comparations counter =1,2,3,4...n for each comparation build a action...

I have download the program and it work fine for the frist time, and i able to download the logging result via webserver. problem is , when i powerOFF and ONthe PLC, then i follow the same sequence to start the data logging, i found that, the block is not allow to create a data log file, and i was not able to log the data anymore, but then, it will work only when i go in to webserver and delete the perious log data. so can you please advice on this issue ? In the other hand, can you also please advice how the "Data Log Open" ; "Data Log Close" ; "Data Log New File" work on your program ? Thanks & Regards

R.Nieling Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I also am struggling with the datalog function.... There is not many info to be found on the Internet. But I managed to create a log file. At the moment I'm logging numbers just to see if it works. In the future I will be logging a analog signal. Everytime I create a new log file he will create a new row. How can I log multipal signals how is this done if I only have one port for logging? I would also like to write a different name every time I create a log file and withe every new row It seem that I can not create a complete new file if the first file is still there. Can I also add new collums? And give a different format? Then an other problem I have is that the time is not ok on the log file. How can I change this to the actual time of the Netherlands ? It should be worked by user software: either save the information that you have alread created the log, or manage the errors codes of the blocks. The blocks "Data Log Open"; "Data Log Close"; "Data Log New File" are descripted in the S7-1200 System Manual (36932465 ) chapter 8.7. Here a quck description, copied from that: Data Log Open Opens a pre-existing data log file. A data log must be opened before you can write new records to the log. Data Log Close Closes an open data log file. DataLogWrite operations to a closed data log result in an error. No write operations are allowed to this data log until another DataLogOpen operation is performed. Data Log New File: Allows your program to create a new data log file based upon an existing data log file.
