SCALANCE AP default admin account not correct

cschlect Posts: 4 Rating: (3)	According to the SCALANCE Device Setup Checklist, the default credentials for an access point are UN: "admin", PW: "admin". I am getting an invalid login/password error with a device straight out of the box using these credentials. How can I access the device? Is there a reset option that does not require a login with previously configured credentials?

And yes there is a Hardware button for RESET to Factory Settings. It is described in the suitable manual. If you tell us which device you have we can help you further Bye Murof

As i wrote in My Device it works. If you have a device that you cannot login with this after reset to factory settings then I would call Siemens Support for further help. We also like to know the answer. Bye Murof

cschlect Posts: 4 Rating: (3)	I contacted Siemens support. In the USA, the default username and password are no longer "admin" and "admin". The Federal Communications Commission now regulates the implementation of wifi networks such that Siemens must use different credentials for certain devices. I was provided the correct username and password by Tech Support and was able to login to my device. Since accepting these new credentials implies compliance with FCC standards, please contact Siemens on your own to obtain the credentials.
