Hello typedat; Are you using the PCS 7 Modbus TCP library to setup your exchanges? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/be/en/view/75867147 If you open the documentation pdf at ch. 4.6, you will see that the CFC blocs for Modbus TCP allow the creation of sequential jobs, each accessing a different DB, that will allow you to send or receive a limited amount of data per telegram. This example was developped with the library MB_REDCL, designed for a S7-400H system and redundant Modbus TCP CPs There are other libraries covering non-redundant systems, as you can see if you open the link for Add-On blocks for Modbus TCP communication, in the link shown avbove, Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello typedat; If you are using the MB_REDSV blocs, your CPU acts on;ly as a server, the client has to do all the work of reading and writing of the registers in the server CPU. You only have to set the registers you want to use in the server as per the MB_REDSV manual https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/kr/en/view/109754927/106348733195 You should also look at this discussion, pay special attention to the replies from our friend Wüstenrauber, in pages 2 and 3 of the exchange. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
