hi ggzv, a potentiometer is normally not for current measuring modules. It is a variable resistor, and you need at least one other resistor, so the analog input is not about to destroyed. your analog input module is for measuring current. Have a look into the manual: SIMATIC ET 200SP analog input module AI 4xI 2-/4-wire STI recommend you to use a module for measuring resistance or voltage, like: 6ES7134-6JD00-0CA1 for resistance or 6ES7134-6FB00-0BA1 for voltage hope this helps, regards, |

Yup figured. The goal though is to figure out to control the a knob with a 4-20mA to the input module. Any suggestions? |
