Hello SIOS Forum Community, In order to be able to use software redundancy sensibly, the periphery must be coupled with a decentralised station. Otherwise, when connecting to central modules, the module would no longer have a process coupling if the CPU failed. The ET200M with active backplane bus in the extended configuration (IM 153-2) can be used for coupling the periphery. Only Profibus can be used as the peripheral bus system. Within the ET200M station, any S7-300 digital and analogue module can be used. In addition, the CP341 and the FM350-1 (counter module) can be used. A list with the exact details of the modules can be found here: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/42614519 SIMATIC International Technical Support Hub |
