In case of Simotion, Profibus is, probably, the easiest communication protocol to setup and program. Mitsubishi has Profibus modules for FX series compact PLCs: FX3U-64DP-M : Profibus/DP master FX0N-32-DP : Profibus/DP slave More information and specifications are available on Mitsubishi web site.
