Hello. We are using product 6AV7862-2BD00-0AA0 (IFP1500 Basic) connected to IOT2050. IOT2050 runs iot2050-image-example.bb from GitHub repo meta-iot2050 with some extra system packages for GUI, Docker,... However, plugging this touchscreen panel into any of our preconfigured IOT2050's acts as touchpad. We would like to make it work like touchscreen. Currently we have to continuously drag the mouse icon on screen and clicking on the screen will perform only click event instead of moving mouse to that location and then clicking. What I mean by that is as if xinput mode was currently set to RELATIVE. On the other hand, calibration is perfect out of the box. No extra drivers are installed, we just plugged USB cable and Display port. lsusb command output recognize this device as D-WAV Scientific Co., Ltd Titan6001 Surface Acoustic Wave Touchscreen Controller [eGalax]. We first tried installing specific panel drivers from https://www.eeti.com/drivers_Linux.html. Once extracted, we run setup.sh but it always fails with Can't load uinput module. Please rebuild the module before installation. So we tried other approach since default drivers seem to be working. Default settings use libinput library to handle touchscreen. When installing xserver-xorg-input-evdev system package and forcing to use evdev driver, things become worse. Calibration is off and there is no press function so there is no way to calibrate it. No key presses are working for connected mouse either. For calibration we are using xinput-calibrator package. Running xinput_calibrator --list we get this output:

We are stuck at the moment as we don't know what else to try. It seems plug and play works okay, but panel is working as touchpad and not touchscreen. Do you have any ideas what to try next? Does this panel support touchscreen at all? |
