WCC PRO V17 : How to access to Text Library ?

fabioga66 Bronze Member Joined: 3/25/2008 Last visit: 10/16/2025 Posts: 240 Rating: (2)	hello all, i should use some text messages reading them with a script from text library In Wcc classic v7.4 you could access the Text Library and there I could write my texts. I recovered them through a script identifying them with the ID. It was a convenient system because I could also use multiple languages. Now in WCC pro tia V17 this is not there. Can anyone suggest me an alternative way? Thank you Fabio

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 1/9/2026 Posts: 16629 Rating: (1944)	Hello fabioga66 you can use two ways: -> Textref -> you can use an internal tag with the format textref-> here you can enter a link to the text in the project texts this works similar than with textereference tags in WinCC V7 -> Workaround with textlist: you can create a textlist with your texts (also multilingual) then use the systemfunction "LookupText" in your script to read out the definied text and language (for example the current runtime UCID) It works both (I used both already) Bye Murof
