How to display in scada plc power on off status?

With S7200 you only can use the Systemalarms for disconnecting. Or a simple way would be to dynamise a toggle tag from the PLC to let a circle or similar change from on to another colour every 1 or 2 seconds. Then you can see if the flashing stops you do not have a connection. if a head line or somilar this little optical thing should give you a fast response for this issue.
