Hello,

I'm working on an existing project that I've just received. I have not made any changes to this system but noticed there are differences between the offline and online state. I uploaded these changes and now when I try to compile I receive the following error:

Program blocks

  System blocks

    STEP 7 Safety

      Compiler blocks

        FGKTP_RG (FB32775)

          At least one called block is missing or was changed after know-how protection was set up.

          The know-how protected block cannot be compiled.

This seems like a system generated block so I'm confused why it's not letting me compile. I know the safety password but there is no option to remove the know-how protection from this system block. It's also not possible to delete this block. I've tried compile (rebuild all) and (only changes). What can I do to make this system compile so I can make my changes and download?

This is for TIA V14 SP1 Update 6.

Check whether the status under "Library Conformity" shows the entry "The object is library-compatible" contains, then you can translate the block into maybe.

Looks like this block is part of the autogenerated blocks for the Safety program. Perhaps you can try the following:

In the project tree, open the Safety Administration and open the "Settings" menu. There, you will find an option to clean up the system generated objects. Try this and recompile.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your replies. Yesterday I was able to acquire a year old archive that did not have the issue with this system block. Luckily there were only a few changes to the program in this time. I took this old copy of the program and made the code changes to have it identical to what was currently online and have been working with this copy of the program since then. Hopefully if anyone else comes across this issue the above solutions will be some help.
