300 outputs 1 PLC

I have a 10x10 grid with 3 LEDs in each grid. That is, 300 digital outputs. Is there an alternative way (inside or outside Siemens) to avoid as much wiring as possible? I know ET200, but even that alternative is expensive,

not easy recommend something due not clear infos and no possible to imagine your actual project requirements. Your question is about wiring problem but what this means I can't imagine, sry. In case of 300 outputs, you need to do wirings probably and all depends to your project requirements what no one here understand, only you. Also price is important for you but in case for what you're asking, this is more expensive solution logically. All depends also to industrial arae of use, location, conditions so is very hard to recommend something.

It would be beneficial for you to study up on the topic. Use "led matrix circuit" as web search words. There is no need to have an output dedicated to each lamp.

Furthermore a PLC is not the right tool to use for the job. If a PLC is a part of the installation, it only needs to communicate to the driver unit. That may be in two wire serial connection. But the actual work is done by the driver circuit.

What are your thoughts?

how about using op panel , it would be cheaper and much easier to be implemented.

Hello, first off all I think you need special type lamps/buttons to do system: pick to light

Try seach any lamps with protocol which can by suitable with S7-1500 and then you can control it with 2 wires.
