@CurentUserName from WinCC v7.0 to PLC Variable

Hello,

I have been trying to send user name from winCC v7.0 to PLC Tag by many ways, but my attempts were failed. 

I tried by GetTagWord, assign it to integer, but in PLC's Data block could not find any result.

Is any way to properly reading UserName (some function etc.) in WinCC and send the data to PLC Tag?

Hi Kampejron,

The WinCC system has already defined a series of internal variables that provide different information related to the PC name, name of the logged in user, etc. You can request the internal variable @CurrentUser that provides the name of the user logged into the system.

You will need to created in your PLC a new tag for the name of the user and this has to be String[255] by default

So, with DataChange of the system tag , when the operator login / logout you will get the name in your PLC
