I'm trying to read out data of a janitza prodata 2 device with a siemens s7 1517. I am using the MB client block and the connection to the modbus server is already established. Attachmentpictures_modbus.pdf (17 Downloads) |

Hi, I see that you are using "Input register", usually is better to use "Holding register". That's not so important cause in Tia portal the mode must be 0. One question: did u tried to start with offset on modbus addresses (-1 or +1)? For ex, if u want to read 40006, try 40005 or 40007 on PLC. Usually, program PC's don't use offset (like ModScan) but you have to put it in Siemens. Also, u can find the same question in this post: https://support.industry.siemens.com/forum/it/en/posts/protocol-error-8384-modbus-tcp/203828 Maybe can help. Let me know, bye! |
