Can I use this
PLC CPU with TIA Portal V16

Siemens sells this as firmware V4.6 which is V18 and higher and all I need this is to connect a buzzer to an HMI so just using one DO, I will need a CPU of the 1200 series as I already have other CPUs preprogrammed for other actions,

My question is compatibility of this V18 CPU with my program all in V16, or even possible if siemens sells them in the V16 programming package if so how to determine these parameters

My buzzer for reference: Larson ATEX-EPL-BZ-BLK-PNL-1227

How do you load a project into an S7-1200 CPU if its firmware version cannot be selected in the hardware catalog of STEP 7 (TIA Portal)?

How do you load the project data if the version of the firmware installed in the S7-1500 CPU cannot be selected in the hardware catalog of your version of STEP 7 (TIA Portal)?

Please note:

There will be a "information message" in the module diagnostics, shown beneath "Additional information" ot the online/offline missmatch. This is only an information as in this scenario, the firmware is compatible.
If the CPU is in error, there is another reason! Check the diagnostics buffer in this case.
