S7-300 PLC not communicating with HMI

Dear Experts,

I have siemens S7 315-2 DP/PN PLC and MP 377 HMI. both are connected in the Scalance x 300 (6GK5 308-2FM00-2AA3). and the ET200s submodules are connected with the another scalance switch and all are connected together with fiber optic. My question was my HMI (MP 377) was got faulty so i replaced the same HMI and put the backup in prosave. My HMI not communicating with the PLC and No alarms and indication was showing in the HMI.

I know that all hardware are OK and PLC showing BF2(blinking) and SF(steady) are showing. I checked the diagnostic buffer and it was my one et200s was not communicated.

1)Now, I need to know why my HMI not showing any indication or alarms? Also, I checked the IP address it's all are in same series. Also, it is the same backup which was working before.

Check that the device name of the HMI match 100% to the configred device name. For Profinet communication to work, the device name has to match the configured name in the hardware configuration.

I Don't know exactly where to check the configured device name. I am new to this s7-300 PLC's. In my HMI panel, The device name was "HMI PANEL" only and the IP address are in same series. Kindly, guide me to rectify this problem.

 Check from the hardware configuration, the configuration of the HMI's IP and device name. They have to match the ones set in the hardware config.

Check if there is a IP connection by opening the command prompt in the Panel (WindowsCE taskbar-> Command Prompt)

Here you can try to perform a PING from the Panel to the PLC. does it work?

 Hi Murof,

I checked the IP connection in CMD prompt, all my PLC and HMI are pinging. now, I connected my Laptop in the scalance switch and I pinged my PLC and HMI through the switch. It successfully pinged. now, I don't know why my PLC and HMI not communicated through that switch.
