How to check if the software is licensed or cracked by EKB?

The best way in my experience is to ask Siemens Support -> Support Request -> Create new request -> License related checkbox ON

Provide the details of the license and ask if it is legitimate so you can keep using it.

I found a batch of V12 licenses which turned out to be cracked.  We never used them.  Money lost.

This problem could be real simple. Each license purchase is issued a certificate. This certificate can be printed (old versions or bought with media) or the certificate can be in a PDF (web delivery).

Without the certificate, there is already doubt of the license's authenticity. The client may choose to remove a contractor from a job if proof of the certificate cannot be given.

That does not mean an easy forgery cannot be presented. We are in a bad space if there are some doubt on this point. Siemens should be able to assist to verify certificate and license, as already suggested.

If there is already doubt about Siemens software licenses, then other software are also used without proper licensing. It is a dead giveaway if some contractor has very many installed software that are expensive to own. More weight if the contractor has very many licenses activated on his PC without having need and without having it installed.
