(I am using Step7 5.7 SP2.)

I have an S7400 F PLC on one of our sites & need to add an Profinet ET200sp into the system. I have updated the Hardware Config on numerous occasion's in the past, but when I go to add the ET200, I am asked to enter the Password for the Failsafe Config, (This has never been required before). Once I have added the ET200, I compile the configuration as normal, the Failsafe also compiles. (I should note that both compile without error.)

There are no Failsafe I/O items on the ET200SP, just standard digital & analogue, so I am unsure why the Failsafe Hardware compilation was necessary, nor what impact it may have had on the overall hardware configuration. I haven't downloaded the new configuration as yet, but before I do, would anyone else have experienced this before? 

What impact did it have, if any?
