In general the FS indicates the hardware built. Sourcing internal components from another supplier could mean the FS number changes. For your purposes the difference in FS could be insignificant. I cannot lay my hands on a description for your specific case. (You are welcome to contact Siemens Support using the LINK.) The part number has the pattern 6ES7 2xx-xxxxx-xxxx. Are both devices the same part number? You have no problem if the part numbers match exactly. Some variation is also acceptable -- but you need to say what. For example replacing a CPU222 with CPU224 can work, but remapping of IO addresses will be needed. Are these notes already helpful? |
