Hello;

It's my first time working with a redundant S7-1500 system using two CPUs (reference 6ES7517-4HQ10-0AB0) and two Power Modules (PM1 and PM2)(6EP1332-4BA00).

In my current design, each Power Module provides two independent 24 VDC outputs (0–24 V). I would like to know if it is acceptable and supported to wire the power supplies in a crossed configuration, as shown below:

• PM1 supplies +24 VDC / 0 VDC to both CPU1 and CPU2.
• PM2 also supplies +24 VDC / 0 VDC to both CPU1 and CPU2.

In other words, both CPUs would be powered simultaneously by both PMs (outputs in parallel).

My questions are:

1. Is this configuration supported or recommended by Siemens?
2. Are there any official wiring diagrams or manuals covering redundant power supply configurations for S7-1500 redundant CPUs?
