I'd like to achieve a specific behaviour that I'm not sure is possible but I may as well try my luck here.

I have an integer value (currently V1 of a math block) that is directly editable through the display.

I want to be able to overwrite that value on-demand inside the program directly (like a MOVE block); MUX/MAX shenanigans won't work as it means my display value isn't actually updated.

Is there any way to do that or am I (understandably) limited by LOGO?

That won't work.

You could change the value externally, like with the web server, but only within the program does the value from the display take precedence.

Maybe this trick will help you:

The fixed value is taken from the message text.The variable value comes from an external source.

The last changed value is used by the Math block.

An optional manual switch on the LOGO_Textdisplay is possible.

The internal fixed value always remains.The external variable value is persistent and is retained in the event of a power failure.However, restarting the simulation resets the value.
