Hi!, I recently bought a Atlas Copco GA11VDS ff with a defective MM440. Before I bought it I googled this forum a bit and found a set of parameters. Therefore I figured it would be easy to just buy a new MM440 swap and load those parameters, but it seems to be a bit more difficult. The purpose of this post is to find the correct set of parameters for my device, but I will also describe all the challenges I have solved so far, just to help those with a similar problem. First I had to find the type of MM440. The original sticker was gone, so it took some googling, but I think the correct type for my device is: 6SE6440-2AD31-1CA1. Replacing the device was easy. Next I had to install Starter and/or Drive monitor. It kept telling me I needed to restart the machine. Turns out you need to remove a registry setting “"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations” to be able to install either of them. I ordered PC-Inverter connection Kit (6SE6400-1PC00-0AA0) and tried to get starter or drive monitor to connect to my inverter. After resetting to factory settings and setting P0700 to 4 there was no connecting. I used 2 different USB to Com adapters even found an old pc with an actual com port, but there was not connecting. After many hours of trying and reading through many forum posts I decided to try and connect with USB to RS485 adapter. I had to remove some wiring of the compressor, but got a connection immediately. In both starter as drive monitor. So for those wondering just setting P0700 to 5 on a default setting MM440 will get you a connection with the rs485. For those wondering for full steps just like i was a while ago:
Am I correct in thinking the pc inverter connection kit might be broken? Since the RS485 adapter worked so smoothly? The set of parameters I found on this forum was not a starter set, but a dnl drive monitor file. And even though I could get drive monitor to connect it was slow and gave a lot of (timeout) errors. Turns out there is a script to load a dnl file in starter https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/32582476 It seems to work and adjusted lots of parameters in the starter project. I then reconfigured the drive with the correct motor parameters and send the parameters to the drive. Unfortunately the compressor still cannot communicate with the inverter. Is there someone who can help me with the correct parameters? Control cubicle info: Serial number: 000801307 Type:1900-2054-01 service diagram number 9820-3603-0102
