For a demo project I want to use a KTP400 Basic Panel with a S7-1500 CPU 1513R S2 setup. The demo uses Profinet in a S2 configuration and connections to the Profinet devices and the S2 functionality seems to work but I can not get the HMI working. I have created a simplified project with only CPUs, switch and HMI in which the problem can be reproduced.

I have tried to disable a all form of security in the project but the HMI panel can not connect to the controller and if I go online with the controller I can see the error event:

"Security information: System initiated session termination"

Help on event:

“A previously established system session was terminated due to CPU operating system security efforts.”

Additional info:
- The HMI connection is using the "system ip".
- Access with PUT/GET communication is enabled.
- TIA Portal v20
- HMI: KTP400 Basic, 6AV2 123-2DB03-0AX0 v17.0.0.0

I have tried all possible configurations I can think of.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I have now tried all three configuration options described in Configuration of an HMI connection to S7-1500/S7-1200 CPUs.
Unfortunately the HMI panel fails to connect in all three configurations.
As a reference I tested with a S7-1200 PLC and the KTP400 panel and this worked without problems.

The Configuration of an HMI connection to S7-1500/S7-1200 CPUs instructions are clear and and I 
think I managed to followed the instructions step by step. 

Any other suggestions?

(Check the date and time of your HMI)

When you have still problems, please give some more information 

(Screenshots will help a lot )

Do you have an Alarm view in HMI? (Which system messages are active?)

After setting the time on the HMI panel and following the instructions in "No connection to PLC after WinCC Panel Images V17 Update 6" connection between HMI and the PLCs is working. Even a redundancy switchover is handled.
