I've a programm that is currently running without issue on a real PLC, but for test purposes I need to test some stuff related to the safety logic in simulation, using PLCSIM v19.

It's not the first time I've done this kind of tests, I usually created a SIM table in PLCSIM and forced the analog/digital safety inputs to test the safety related code. But recently, whenever I try to load tags in the SIM table it doesn't work, it doesn't matter if they are normal or safety tags.

If I write the tagname of the variable in the “name” column, it says it doesn't exist. If I write the %IW directly on the direction column, it doesn't recognize it associated to any tag. This issue seems to related only to the SIM table, as the simulated program seems to be running fine and all tags are correctly showing up in my simulated HMI.

I've restarted the PC, Tia and PLCSIM several times. If I load a different project into the simulator, the SIM table works fine and loads all tags without issue. It's whenever I load the project I need to test that this happens.

Does anyone know how to solve this?
