Oen Modbus TCP Comunnication problem With PCS-7

SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	DearReaders, I want to communicate Honeywell Controller UDC 3200 with PCS-7 AS (S7-417-4H) through Modbus TCP Connection. For that I have downloaded demo version of Open Modbus TCP from Siemens Site and used blocks from the same. We are have purchased license copy but it has not delivered and because of urgency of site we are using demo version. I have made connections in netpro and also made logic for the same but communication is not working. n Netpro connection status is showing “Estblished”. So My AS has communicated with Honeywell controller. Now I want to read registers from Honeywell controller 40001 to 40010. I configured Client in Modbus CP Block and in data type I have defined 3 and start add is 1 and end add is 10. I have used only one data block, rest all are zero. And All Blocks I called into OB 35(100 mS) So it has been automatically recalled to OB 100 as in PCS-7. So I haven’t added blocks manually into OB 100. Is it OK or not? And I put timer for ENQ _ENR of 2s. so at every 2s it is giving me pulses for request. Now my problem is that note a single time I got the done bit. So I am not getting any data. The error status is “A083” and “A090”. Also Busy and Error are continuously one. Some times error goes to zero. But again it comes to one and done bit is getting on any time. So please help me regarding this problem. How can I read data from Controller? I have used blocks FB106, FB107 and FB108. Should I have to use other blocks for redundant CPUs? Will these blocks work for Redundant CPU if I have made logic for only one CPU? Also I have used modscan with Honeywell controller and in that it is showing me values into 40001 to 40010 registers. So why it is not coming to our AS? Please help me as soon as possible. Waiting for your earliest reply.

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Divyesh, Siemens offers also a ModbusTCP variant for redundant systems. The order number for this software is 2XV9 450-1MB01. This software is not available as trial version. Address 40001 of Honeywell application layer is equivalent to 0000 of the data link layer (please have a look at section "Address Mapping" of the manual). The trial version for Modbus TCP for NCM CP includes a CFC example. There you can see how to call FB MODBUSCP. I expect that you parameterize S7 as Modbus client. Your have to wait for the trigger for the next order until the previous one is finished with DONE/NDR or ERROR. Regards, Kaulquappe
