sql license message when client try to connect to the server

SilvioG Bronze Member Joined: 10/7/2010 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 103 Rating: (7)	hi I've installed wincc sp2 with license rt/rc on a 'client' workstation when I try to connect to te server application, it show me a message that the sql server license is out-to-date or the complete license sql is installed: in the second case I have to install sql express what can I do?

efka Posts: 799 Rating: (43)	Hi SilvioG, I never heard this, but is it possible, that there was already a Microsoft SQL Server installed before you installed WinCC? (Maybe you installed WinCC flexible before WinCC?) regards

Installed WinCC v7.02 +Update 3 on new Client PC 2. Added name of Client PC in project on Server PC 3. Opened WinCC project from Server PC on Client PC 4. Started RT on Client PC after that I get the message as you can see in attachment Attachment WinCC_Client_license_SQL.JPG (274 Downloads)

efka Posts: 799 Rating: (43)	Hi SteBo, have you tried to transfer the licenses on usb stick and back again in Automation License Manager? And also in your case, can the problem reals caused by the SQL Server? (WinCC flexible also installed?) regards
