it is NOT normal as far as I'm concerned dear createstars(i certainly never had that problem and down- and uploaded plenty of COM PB configs). This may however very well explain your problem but the only advise I can offer is to start a process of elimation to determine what the cause of this behaviour is. Things ot check would be: 1.) What version of COM PB do you use? I once had an issue where a customer uploaded an existing COM PB config, changed it, succesfully downloaded it again but it wouldn't work. He had COM PB V5.1 SP1, the original config was however done with V5.1 SP2 and the"fix" was to update his version to V5.1 SP2. I believe you started your config from scratch so this shouldn;t be a problem, but it won;t hurt to bring your COM PB up to the latest version. 2.) Try toflash the EPROM with a PG or USB Ppommer (instead of using the download via the IM308C) and see if that helps 3.) Try a different completely new COM PB config. Perhaps worthwhile trying a simple one where the IM308C is the DP Master. 4.) Continue down this path of process of elemination with more test (e.g. use a different S5 rack and/or CPU etc. etc.) to determine what theroot cause is (e.g. IM308C, EEPROM, Com PB version, your COM PB config, S5 etc.) I hope this helps, good luck and please let us know what you find. |

Hello createstars could it be that you added your 2nd cry for help without noticing my reply to your 1st cry for help which is at the top of the second page of this post (i.e .the top of this page)? If not, have you gone through the proposed process of elimination? |
