beard Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Hi BV I got exactly the same. I deal everything with eprom using Fied PG and also with the old one PG720P. But how can I say the eprom defected while with a simple program it was ok (when I loaded it to CPU) and I tried with another new eprom yesterweek, but the problem still. Is there any tricky way to protect step5 program from being copied or something? best regards, beard

Maybe defective locations are only used by bigger programs. beard Is there any tricky way to protect step5 program from being copied or something? This can be done by using LIR, TIR or other instructions that directly affect PLC program memory, but it takes a highly skilled programmer to find out which addresses should be written with which code. You didn't answer the question about how youtook back up of old memory module. Did you performed an overal reset after installing new eprom ? (Be careful to do this if you are not sure that you can restore a working situation!) I think, if there is still a (corrupted) program in PLC the eprom won't be read until an overal memory reset is performed. Kind regards, BV

beard Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Hi BV, I copied old eprom and blew the new one using PG, it means I unpluged eprom from cpu. And I perform overall reset to load eprom to cpu. Maybe you're right about big capacity memory but it happened on my new two pieces eprom? Really confusing.... ...

Did you try to copy the flash with another PG or external prommer? I am running out of ideas! The costumer should pray for his running system and shouldthink on amigration to S7. Regards.

I believe that the two new flash's have the same order number as the old, but dothey also have the same revision? What's the order number and the revision? Would be interesting to know. I might have a used flash here somewhereflying around and could send you that by DHL for testing purpose. Regards.
