S7-400H sync cables

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	Hi folks) Interesting if anybody know order number for optical patch cords for sync modules? The problem is - we use sync modules up to 10 km (have 2 parts of H-system in different locations). To connect then we've put optical cable between them and terminated with optical cross-panel with SC type sockets. So now i need SC-Synclike patch cord to connect to sync modules of H-system....

In my case i need 2m cable, on one side it should be Siemens-specific, but on the other side it should be standard SC. Hope now you can see where is my problem. I'm sure some solution should exist, otherwise Siemens won't produce sync modules to work on 10km range...

Hello Aret, I think You have to Look for other FO cable apart from Siemens, On Sync Module you have LC Port, So you have to Go with LC to SC type FO Patch Cable, Here I found the Type of all major FO cable Connector.

Hello Aret, I have LC type Patch cable for Cisco Switch, & I try to Connect to Sync Module it Fit perfactly, but I have only one H CPU with me So I can't Checked the Function of this cable(Both Side LC type Connector), if you have any possible for you to make trial then try & let me know.... Looking to see its work for you....

SIMATIC Fault-tolerant Systems S7-400H The synchronization module 6ES7 960–1AA04–0XA0 can be operated in pairs with fiberoptic cables up to a length of 10 m. Select cables with the following specification for lengths up to 10 m: ● Multimode fiber 50/125 μ or 62.5/125 μ ● Patch cable for indoor applications ● 2 x duplex cables per fault-tolerant system, crossed ● Connector type LC–LC. On the same page you will find some notes on cables up to 10Km. On page 276 I hope you will find what you are looking for. Best regards. H-H

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	Thank you, H-H, for pointing that out. I examined my LC connector closely - it has 1 little plastic pin in the center, that doesn't allow to insert it into sync module. When i removed it it did fit) Thank you both for paying attention to my question
