Wind measurment with 1COUNT24V/100kHz

el_erinho Posts: 46 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I have a 1Count24v/100khz and NRG#40c anemometer. Is it even possible to connect them or I must first connect the anemometer to a encoder? If it is possible how to connect them and what is the measuring principle? THANKS!!!

You need a FM350-1 to connect a 100kHz 24V Signal to the PLC. "Measuring principle" is counting of pulses, one direction and also two directions. Maximum 200 kHz with 24V Signal, 500 kHz with 5V Signal.

This is the output specs I found for your anemometer:

Signal type

low level AC sine wave, frequency linearly proportional to windspeed

So direct conection is not possible.A transducer or an interface is neededto convert the ACwave to a digital square signal ...
