I am using CPU 315-2DP with 5 DI's and 2 DO's at the CPU rack 0, there are two extention racks by means of IM360/361 with Analog modules in the Racks 1 and 2. I am in the site and my client needs the total harware configuration to be shown in the SCADA.Because thay are using another third party SCADA also in the same control room for another application in that SCADA we are able to see the total hardware configuration in the SCADA. I am already aware of RSE,but in my project WinCC and Step7 program are not integrated project.Because if I am integrating the project the WinCC is asking for ProcessObjects license.

As actually you do not make any thing excepts few setting through a wizard of RSE. The details are here in this FAQ and you also told that you are aware of it. How can you report S7 system errors in WinCC? So If the issue that you have to buy a new licence to integrate your WinCC in Step 7. I think you are the winner as you will save in engineering time. As you won't have to implement each error and create message in WinCC specially if you are talking about large project. It will consume a lot of time. But with RSE, just few minutes will do the job.

Search in the forum "SFC51" u will find lot of solution... I will also attach you the some example using SFC51 for your reference..... Hope it help u... Attachment EXAMPLE.zip (161 Downloads)

AanalK Posts: 16 Rating: (6)	Hello, SFC51 is correct for hardware diagnostic.But, SFC51 can only read the physical LEDs. So, to judge the exact error in any hardware, one can program different OBs, supported by the system. ItisOB 70, OB72, OB80, OB81,....etc. All are available in help of Step-7 for details Thank you.
