Hello Sachin; Although my experience has been more with Prosoft modules for theControllogix platform, I think this should be relatively easy to setup. Start by programming the slave module using the user manual and Sample Ladder provided in this link: http://www.prosoft-technology.com/prosoft/products/for_rockwell_automation/protocol/fieldbus_automation/profibus_dp/mvi46_pdps At this point you have to prepare your registers for transfers to/from the DP master (your S7-400 CPU). You must copy the data you want to send to the addresses you have reserved for the module OUTPUT area, and once themaster has written his data you must copy the data out of the INPUT aread registers. Next use the gsd file for the Prosoft MVI46-PDPS (same link as above) to set it up as a slave in the HWConfig Profibus Configurator. Start by opening the HWConfig editor with all projects inside closed; then use the Tools menu to integrate the gsd file for your Prosoft module in the HWConfig library. Now the module is available as part of the Profibus slave catalog, and you can insert the module as a slave to the Profibus network. Select the same Profibus address you used to program the module in the SLC and reserve the OUT/IN addresses in the S7's configuration that match the number and size of the registers reserved in the slave. Don't forget to compile and download the configuration to the DP-master so the master can configure the slave and start exchanging in runtime. In your S7-400program you will have to do similar operations (using the MOVE instruction) as you did in the SLC to transfer data to/from the Profibus registers reserved in the S7-400for the DP exchanges. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Sachin; Here are some posts on consistent data transfer with SFC15 and SFC14. Some of them contain sample programs that you can use to understand how t use and program them: how to use SFC14/SFC15 to read and write data to the inverter DP link between CPU 315-2DP (slave) and S7-400 (master) with STEP 7 V5.3 How do you read data consistently from a DP standard slave/PROFINET IO device and write it consistently to a DP standard slave/PROFINET IO device? If you are using PCS 7 and can program in S7-SCL: How do you program the ANY parameters for SFC14 and SFC15 in S7-SCL? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
