Library Memory

STL... Posts: 13 Rating: (2)	Not sure quite how to ask what i need an answer to without getting confusing! Basically i am creating some libraries I want when these libraries are used to use memory depending on the program ie you have to drop down File and select Library Memory to set memory for the library I have looked at libraries that do this and then use that memory (but not withing the local Variable Table) I have read the help over and over For the life of me i cant work out how to do this ! I have tried typing in an address &LIB_Memory and not putting it in the LVT but i get errors on compiling the library. The libraries i have looked at that do this dont declare say &LIB_Memory in the LVT but when you invoke the library you have to allocate memory to it from Library Memory under the File menu ??? ALL HELP APPRECIATED

HuoLong Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	When creating a library from a subroutine which use variables from the V-Memory, you would have to allocate the memory for them via Step7 MicroWin as you described. But this you could do only once. So you should use local variables if applicable. P.S: if using variables from V-memory, you should left no space between them, since this would be lost while allocation too.

You cannot create a Library with the use of V memory as you get a compile warning Compiling Library 'Project1 (v1.0)' .... Network 1, row 1, col 3: ERROR 69: (operand 2) Absolute V-memory addresses not allowed in library POU. Address must be used symbolically. Network 1, row 1, col 3: ERROR 69: (operand 3) Absolute V-memory addresses not allowed in library POU. Address must be used symbolically. Compiled Library with 3 errors, 0 warnings. Anyone else as this doesnt answer my question ?

STL... Posts: 13 Rating: (2)	Perhaps you could give an example, i just tried that and whilst the library compiles when you use it i get an error "Call out of order for Ladder"? The Microwin shuts down ?
