Can't open wincc explorer on local machine

JJJ Posts: 39 Rating: (1)	BMP Hi After installation HF17 problem is same.I also installed update 1 CD but no effect.I am only facing this problem with WinCC.Step7 is working is properly.The CMOS is battery of computer is disharged.Is there problem with discharging of CMOS battery? Thanx BMP contact local siemens person

Right click the icon and go to (properties --- find target --Reset_WinCC.vbs). 3. Double Click the 'Reset_WinCC.vbs file'. 4. Wait for few seconds then try to open your Wincc Explorer. Hope it Works :) Thanks.

romihs Posts: 14 Rating: (4)	Hello, I have had this same issue and my solution was to add the user to the Simatic HMI group. I had this issue on a customers laptop where Wincc Explorer used to work, and then they reported that it does not work anymore. After spending some time searching for the problem and re-installing WinCC, it still would not work. I then went and checked if the user was in the Simatic HMI group, and it was not. Obviously the administrator removed the user from that group. Once I had added the user to that group, WinCC Explorer worked fine. Hope this helps. Regards Sandi
