Step 7 v5.5 and WinccFlexible 200SP3 Migration to Windows 7

stavros_ch Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I have recently upgraded my Step 7 from v5.4 to v5.5 , and wincc flex advanced 2007 to 2008 SP3. Both of these upgrades were done with the upgrade package from siemens and there was not a clear installation but an upgrade. Is it possible to install the upgraded version using the cd's provided in the package of the upgrade to a new installation in a windows 7 laptop and just transfer the licence to the new installation? Thank you in advance Upgrade software is not considered as a standalone installaion. You have to set up the old SW from its CD and then install upgrade. Then move old and new license and go to ALM and select upgrade. Then the software can work. Hope this helps.

stavros_ch Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello I have contact also the official support The answer they gave me was that I can install the new software from the upgrade dvd. It contains a full installation. Then transfer both licences (old and upgrade) into ALM and do a licence upgrade. This worked fine.
