Extraction of data form csv file, and making a report

el_erinho Posts: 46 Rating: (0)	Dear respected members of forum, I have a energy management project with 15 machines included. I have used WinCC Profesional. I am logging energy and power in CSV every 5 seconds. My question is can I make a screen that will do the following: - input time A into I/O field - input time B into I/O field - after that energy (value from logging excel) from time B and time A goes into some internal tag of WINCC flex - tag B - tag A = energy consumption that customer wants - time A and time B become the start and end of POWER trend. Power trend gets data from EXCEL FILE. - after that I go print report. - customer sees energy consumption and Power trend in wanted time period ( time B - time A ) Is that possible to make? Help would be really appreciated!!!

I have found an example which I tought was going to help me: How can you write data to a file or read data from a file by means of a script on a Comfort Panel with SIMATIC WinCC (TIA Portal)? I completely copied the SCRIPT and buttons to WINCC on PC. Ok, I compiled it, it was fine. After I tried to write some data. I get the following message: ''ActiveX component cannot create object''. What does this mean? I have made a identical copy of script from this comfort panel example to my PC example. Best regards,

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, unfortunately scripts for comfort panels are not the same as scripts for runtime professional... so some commands work for both but some don't ... The example you posted uses access to the file system of windows CE (which is the operating system of the comfort panels). In your example you need to access the file system of the windows which is on your runtime system... K!ke
