motors compatibility with the drives

Dear all

can anybody tell me,

we have three siemens motors rating 22kw, 30kw, 45kw running on simple star/delta mode.we want them to run on inverters in the future.My question is, Is it quite suitable for these motors to run them on inverters.

If not then why?

The standard insulation system is designed so that operation on the

converter is possible for supply voltages up to 500 V +10% in motorized

operation. Use a special insulation system or adopt special measures,

e.g. output filter, for higher voltages.

The voltage rating of these motors is 400v/690v. We are running them on 400v deltabecause we have 400v system in our country. Now the above statement shows these motor could be run on inverters with no problem. am i right?

Now, for instance if we would like to run the same motorson 690v in star then do we need to do something?
