S7-200 on Profibus

razvancis Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have an application with two plc's: S7-315 2DP and S7-216 (CPU226 with 2 MPI ports). I want to connect this plc's on Profibus with S7-300 Master and S7-200 slave. In Step 7 - hardware configuration I have only possibility to add S7-215 or an EM277 Profibus module but I don't have this kind of devices, I have S7-216. How can I do to achieve this communication bus? Thank You, Kindly, Razvan

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, if you want ot use a Profibus connection then you need a 215 or the EM277. But you can use a MPI connetion. So S7-300/400 PLC can read/write data from/to a S7-200 PLC. Max. baud rate is 187.5kbs. Here more inforamtions: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/747743 I hope this helps. helmut

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	What was your setting on both PLC's? Station address, baudrates are important. The rest is just calling the X_PUT/X_GET instruction in the S7-300 Programm. Regards Helmut
