I am in a hell of a mess this fine weekend I need a way to program com co-processor 6ES5530-3LA12. What cable is used? I saw somewhere that a utility called com530 was used and that it was maybe done in c/pm (er ever how ya spell it) and not even dos. Does anyone know where I can obtain this thing and a way to run it? Also what is the cable? This module has 2X15pin Dsub connectors on it are these TTY current loop or something different? I am totally ignorant of the S5 and it's pitfalls so these questions I hope don't become too much of a lightening rod. The rack I am dealing with is a 135U outfitted with a 928 CPU and a 530 Com Coprocessor also a 525 Com Coprocessor (that I think is still programmed as it contained an eprom module) is present as well. There were ram modules in both the 928 and 530. Someone left 3 files as a backup to this system all bear the 5SD file extension. Would the programs created by Com525 and Com530 save with these extensions or am I out in left field? Up the creek without an programming cable? Also I have included a zip of the 3 .5SD files I have as backup. Any help anyone could provide is MOST WELCOME, I am desperate at this point. AttachmentS5Dfiles.zip (413 Downloads) |

Do you still need the software COM530? The CP530 must be programmed with the same cable than the S5 PLCs |
