Wincc v7.2 Communication with OBA7

A long time ago I did some test with OPC to a Logo and got communication working.
I am attaching a pdf document with some printscreens I have from then (I don't excactly remember all so I just have the printscreens ;-).
First, for the connection in the logo, you create a server connection as shown in the first page.

Notice that the Local Properties it here has TSAP 21.00 and Remote is 21.11.

In the second page you now define the same connection in NetPro for OPC.
Here you match the TSAP so the local is 21.11 and remote is 21.00.

In the Logo Variable Memory definition you now define the variables you want to address from OPC.

Now, in OPC you can address them from OPC using [Logo]DB1,W4,1 for example.
In NetPro in the example I created the connection with the name "Logo" and Logo always uses DB1 as area.

I'm not sure if Logo supports the browsing of datablocks like the normal S7 cpus does. This may be why you do not see the DB1?

I did some tests and the Logo does not supply OPC Scout with the DB1 so you will have to enter the address manually.
There are a couple of ways you can do this.
As already mentioned, you can drag the "&statepath" down so you have an example of the syntax.
You can then copy this to the next empty line.
When you click on the text in the "ID" column, a small button at the end of the cell will appear.
When you click this, a dialog will appear where you can change the "Item ID/name".
Dependend of what address in the Logo you want to read/write, you can enter:
S7:[Logo_TCP1]DB1,INT2,1
S7:[Logo_TCP1]DB1,INT4,1

The Logo always uses DB1 so you can only address DB1. And INT2 means DBW2 as integer.
The ,1 means read only 1 element (1 integer).

Another sample would be:
S7:[Logo_TCP1]DB1,X0.0,1

If you want, you can make symbolic addressing by entering these addresses in the OPC Symbol Editor.
Then you can load the symbol file in "Communication Settings -> SIMATIC NET configuration -> OPC Settings -> Symbols"
Then you could define more easier to understand names that will appear in the "\SYM:" folder.
