Hi, It depend on what Process tag Type you are using. Try to use this manual: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/us/en/view/6815479 See chapter "6.12 VlvAnL - control valve": Have a look at input parameters: MV_Ext, MV_ExtLi, MV_Int*, MV_IntLi,MV_LiOp. Then you just build your logic in a CFC chart and connect the above mentioned parameters. Any more help needed please ask! |

In addition to Microman's post, you can use the "SelA02In" block from the AP library to help you determine the right setpoint. This block will output a real value that is made by a bool. If bool=1, then output value = IN1, if bool=0, then output value = IN2. The output (Out) can be fed to the MV_EXT parameter of the VlVAnL block. Make sure you also set the MV_LiOp and MV_ExtLi to select the external setpoint. |
If I could help you, you can use the RATE button. Thank you. |

Thanks for the pointer to the manual. That answered a great many questions. Especially the section on "changing between operating modes". ---Mark |

Just in case anyone is interested, I had some time to show how I accomplished this. See the attached .pdf.
