Installing a GSD in mode RUN

Hello,

I would like to install a GSD file.  I would like to know if it stop the PLC or if I can do it in a run mode ?

I can not stop the PLC.  I would like to be sure about that.

I am working with

Step7, simatic manager V5.4 SP5 HF4

Configuring hardware V5.4 SP5 HF4

CFC block V7.1 SP1 Upd1

the question is not really clear.

A GSD Install is doing in the SIMATIC MANAGER.

I think what you mean is the download of the changed HWConfig with the projected GSD to the PLC .
This depends on which PLC do you use.

So please tell us which PLC !

Hello,

no PLC must not to stop.
The GSD is installed in Simatic Manager and have nothing to do with the PLC.
The Install is only on the local PC installation not on the PLC.
