Hello syt20; I've communicated with both Masterdrives and Sinamics G150 drives, so maybe I can point out a few differences between the 2. Massterdrives Profibus exchanges can be configured through a standard format called PPOx (PPO1 to PPO5: Parameter Process data Objects). There are 5 PPO types, some allowing parameter modification and reading, some not; all give access to at least a Control word (ON/OFF digital conrols, for start/stop for example) and a Setpoint word for speed referencing; some PPOs also give you access to 4 or 8 extra words, the content of which you set through specific parameters, so you can read current, voltage, power, torque, as you need. See the first attachment below The only way to distinguish between the different PPO types used for a drive is to look at the HWConfig data for a drive. The selected module will identify how the application was designed. To complicate things a bit, there is also a free telegram configuring available on the CPB2 Profibus interface card if you use theDrives ES package... but that is a different matter.. Iwill describe the Simanics telegram structure in the next posting. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier AttachmentPPO TYPES.pdf (1508 Downloads) |
