Hi!

Create a String tag in the PLC and use it as the output tag for the GetUserName function.

You can execute the function periodically to refresh the PLC tag.

Can you tell me how to do this please ?

One simple way (for functions in general) is to use a bool in the PLC and turn it on and off periodically (e.g. clock bit)

On the HMI side, in the tag list create a tag connected to the PLC tag mentioned above, and in the Properties->Events->Value change   add the GetUserName function.

When the value of the PLC bit changes, the function is executed.

(Do not forget to change the Aquisition mode to Cyclic continuos in the HMI tag's Properties->Settings.)

In this case it could also be done as a Scheduled task with a "User change" trigger. Also use the GetUserName function in the task Properties->Events->Update (I did not test this, though).

i can't put a string tag !!

what's the matter ?

Strings must be created in a Data Block. You cannot define it directly in the Tag table.

So create a DB where you can store the string and connect directly to the HMI.

 i create a DB string , i define a tag then i define a HMI tag "USER"

i cancreate the scheduler task "change user" the function "GetUserName" output "USER"

i return to my root screen but the I/O doesn't show anything !!!

and finally i found it 

 i must use I/O field and output the string tag not a I/O field symbolic
