Search for a value in an array

Hello everybody,

I have a DB where each Model(take this word as general: car, house, city, it doesn't matter) is repetead every 174 bytes. So, in those 174 there's an array of int and it's long 20 bytes so , I'm calling from now ,Line_Code[20] and the addres will be from  DB2.DBW235 to DB2.DBW253. Now, I want to search a line_code that an other source(For example an other PLC) will send me. I explain better, the array it's like v[1]=1, v[2]=35, v[3]=67, ecc... And I want to search if the value "35" is present already, when the operator type a new line code from the panel. The problem is more extended , because I have 20 model, then 400 values to check each time. Now, I have thought to put all the 20 Line_Code Arrays in an other DB and then search the code that the other source send me. But, I don't know how to search the code in an array. The final question is, How can I Search/find a value in an array in awl ?

NB. Step 7 V5.5 with s7 300.

Anyways. If you set up an any pointer you are able to manipulate the address you are reading or writing.  So you can work with any address in the DB.

Something to start with:

In STEP 7 V5.x, with a function, how do you load the address of the ANY pointer for the IN, OUT and IN-OUT parameters into the AR1?
How can you calculate an offset for an ANY pointer or change the pointer?

First of all, thanks for the answer. I have checked all the links that you have wrote , but just in the first one I have got "some" information for my case. My case is : compare  a constant, for example  the value 100, with 20 integer of an array of int. I would do this task in SCL , but my boss is an *** , and he said me , "I didn't make any SCL function so you have to do the same" . That's why I'm asking this.

Take a look at chapter "6.19 LOOP Loop".

Take a look at chapter "14.11      +AR1    Add ACCU 1 to Address Register 1 ".
