siemens step 7 block for reading encoder from 338-4bc01-0ab0 in s7 400h

Hi every1,

I have an absolute encoder sick ssi-gray, wire draw type
steps-6680*4096
vdc-10-32v class2

In order to read the count, 338-4bc01-0ab0 card has been used.

I don't know which s7 block(SFC etc.) can be used to read this count & accordingly position in Step 7.

Please also suggest the parameterization needed for hardware configuration, if any.

Regarding to addressing you card read Product Information on the Reference Manual Programmable Logic Controllers S7-300 Module Data Release 3 Position Decoder Module SM 338; POS-INPUT; chapter "1.1.4 SM 338; POS-INPUT Addressing".

The above manual also detail the parameters.
